A simple poem for tonight ...?

Very good! Seriously, it’s brilliantly written. A lot of thought went into this, or should I say, emotion. The end ties it all up nicely, and honestly. A wounded heart in fractured home describes the low point in human life. Sounds like you recently had to make a difficult decision in your life. And the title, reflects the poet in you that can craft a poem as easily as saying goodnight. I like it. Keep writing.
