What should i expect on first day college?

Omg I go college In September (I know it's like 2 and half months away) but I'm scared, I'm a shy person and none of my friends have picked same course as me, so I will have to make new friends. By the way in Travel & Tourism you do get equal amount of male and females right? Its UK college by the way. Like where do you sit when you go in if other people with their friends? and not all nerds in there is there? because im quite girly and preppy.
